The Soulfire Project is a multicultural, nomadic musical experience blending Reggae and Cumbia with folk, Afro-Latin, and Caribbean elements—weaving a vibrant tapestry of world music that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit. With one fist raised in solidarity and the other extended to invite you into the movement, their powerful mix of world beats and infectious harmonies is a passionate call for coherence between awareness and action.
Since 2009, they’ve been “Touring the Americas” in their home/studio: a 1979 school bus powered by used vegetable oil and solar energy. From the street to the stage to major world music festivals across Central America, Europe, and the United States, The Soulfire Project has grown into a captivating and dynamic live act. Their sound is a thrilling fusion—from gypsy punk and global acoustic blends to hard-grooving Afro-Latin anthems. Their commitment is as visceral as the heartbeat of their percussion.
After three independent releases (El Primer Paso, Le Grand Voyage, and YouRevolución EP), the band is now thrilled to present their most ambitious album yet: "No Borders", produced by Grammy-winner Christian Castagno. While the title reflects their core political beliefs, No Borders is multidimensional—transcending genres and languages, featuring songs in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and showcasing musicians from 13 different countries.
The band's decade-long journey through Latin America has deeply shaped their sound. You’ll hear Colombian cumbia fused with salsa in tracks like "En Movimiento", and African champeta vibes in "Raya en el Mar" and "Palabra Kadabra". Their nomadic lifestyle has also given them profound insight into indigenous struggles and resistance—powerfully expressed in songs like "La Montaña Ruge" and "Somos Más".With No Borders, The Soulfire Project condenses a profound and joyful story into 10 tracks—rekindling the wisdom of our inner child, igniting revolutionary fire, and establishing themselves as a bold and vital voice in today’s global music scene.
