It's only right to congratulate the Spinello Pro Loco, who immediately understood the spirit that drives us. We strive to always improve within the limits of our ability year after year, even at the risk of failure. Those who sit back and rest on their laurels are doomed. Quality pays off, as do attention to detail, well-curated stands, and meticulous logistics, as do the volunteers' willpower and empathy for the artists and audience. Last year's attendance set a record, with an estimated 4,000 people.
At 6:30 pm, Musical Aperitif - Location 1 and at Location 3, the Party Area.
Spinello is a mountain village located at 850 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views, especially if you climb to the ancient medieval ruins of the Rocca, from which, on clear days, you can see the sea. Fresh air and good food. We called this evening the Assaggio, a tasting that becomes more and more artistically gourmet as the years go by. Revised and improved, logistics have also been improved to make the evening more enjoyable and less chaotic.
Big News for 2025: NEW FOOD TRUCK & SHOW AREA, Loc. 10
More spaced groups and new, larger areas have been added to the festival, much to the delight of our beloved audience. After a successful first experimental experience in 2022, and significantly improved and functional in 2023 and 2024, the PARK AREA 8/9 will be back in 2025 with two exceptional shows. In addition to the stunning handcrafted wooden games by Nonno Banter, the area, intended for large aerial structures, otherwise impossible at Spinello, will also host large magic and comedy shows in 2025 with renowned international artists, attracting a large audience. This year, major Italian and international companies will be present. The returning artists are legends, not supporting acts, with new productions, often from the current year. Groups from the distant past may also be invited back to the festival, including historic companies that have shaped the history of street art in Italy and around the world. The evocative open-air church, Loc. 7 Chesetta/Campana, renovated after the 2002 earthquake, will host unparalleled and hilarious shows on wheels in the second half of the evening. In the first two editions, the festival ended here, but instead... here are Locations 8 and 9 Parco Alto and Basso. In 2025, as mentioned above, at Location 9, two major shows by two world-renowned companies, winners of numerous international awards, will take place. Prime time will take place in Locations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Then, the previously described part and the grand finale, as per tradition. DJs will be at Location 7 Chiesetta/Campana and with fantastic live music at Location 3/Party Area. This will ensure everyone in attendance is happy, both fans of live concerts and those who enjoy dance music.
The five dates of the festival are a great opportunity for our loyal audience to enjoy, spread out over the days, all the groups and companies present at the 34th edition. Indeed, this edition has never seen such a high degree of quality over quantity.

CORNIOLO - August 12
The prologue from 2007

589 meters above sea level, a high hill, therefore...
since 2007 - 19th EDITION - from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM!!

A charming Apennine hamlet nestled high in the hills, barely reaching 600 meters above sea level, so not yet a mountain. It starts in the lower part of the village, with the historic Aperitivo at Loc. 1 Bar Forno Amadori - from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in the company of wonderful international musicians. It's a truly spectacular start, given the quality of the music from the band, the most multi-ethnic at the festival.

Then we climb through cobbled squares and winding streets to Piazza Pasquale II Papa, where the magic of the Circo Teatro will begin at 7:15 PM, Loc. 3 Campo di Calcio at the top of Via del Borgo.

Followed by other wonderful shows in Piazza Pasquale II Pappa, the central square, Loc. 10.

Other very interesting shows will also be held at the little church in Loc. 2 - and also at Locations 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, along Via della Madonna.

Excellent food in the Party Area, Loc. 11 12 13, the 13th location of the Large Aerial Structures. Unplugged music from 7:15 pm to 11 am.

The shows will alternate; we won't be spending too much time in the main square as in the past; we'll be moving around more, exploring the streets and enjoying all the beauty the evening has to offer. From midnight, only the Party Area - Loc. 12 Palco On Stage - & only music until 2 am. If you don't dance this year, you'll never dance again, given the energy of the bands on stage.

SANTA SOFIA - 13/14/15 agosto

There will be Italian and international companies of great artistic caliber, true excellence, great bands and, after the success of last year's edition, the second stage on stage in 2025 at Loc.2 "BaRaOndA". We will not have one evening superior to the others as a program, there will be three equally interesting evenings, but different in the program, equal in level and artistic quality, different in the programs, equally beautiful.

August 14 - THURSDAY

From 6:00 PM to approximately midnight, the only regular date since '92. A colorful evening featuring music, theater, circus, and circus-theater companies, performers, acrobats, fakirs, jugglers, mimes, clowns, and actors, through the streets of the city center, squares, alleys, courtyards, the park, the river park, and the Teatro Mentore. 34 groups and/or companies will be present, as well as: Installations, Wooden Street Games, and numerous other colorful characters, friends of the festival.

August 15th – “FERRAGOSTO” – FRIDAY

From 6:00 PM to approximately midnight, the highlight of the festival since its debut in 1994, with "the magical artists with laughing eyes who steal the show from shooting stars." Music, theater, circus, and circus-theater companies, performers, acrobats, fakirs, jugglers, mimes, clowns, and actors will take place throughout the city center, along the squares, alleys, courtyards, and riverside parks & Teatro Mentore. "Round Midnight" will feature the legendary "Fireworks," a tradition that predates the festival itself. 31 groups and/or companies will be present.

ENTRY 15 €

N.B. - Every evening, there will be workshops, installations, photography exhibitions, displays, and handcrafted wooden and street games. Plus, numerous colorful characters from the festival's friends.

Let's not forget the excellent food in the local restaurants and food trucks scattered along the River Park, at Antica Pesa, formerly Via Risorgimento. You'll find everything and more in the beloved and splendid lands of Romagna-Tuscany, of which "Santa" has undoubtedly become the driving force, thanks also to the culture, traditions, events, ideas, and amenities of the area.

The Campigna Prize for Painters of the Past and the Sculpture Park for Sculptors of Today, with its splendid riverside park dotted with works by world-famous and celebrated artists, begins in Giorgi Park, behind Piazza G. Matteotti, separated from it only by the historic buildings (of the so-called Little Florence), including the Church of the Holy Cross, the Town Hall, and the Florentine Bell Tower, which are reflected in the waters of the Bidente River, the poet-river that speaks of art, light, color, and poetry.

Honestly, what other area of Romagna can offer all this, besides a great festival during the festival days? Certainly, there are notable excellences elsewhere, perhaps even superior individually, but certainly not all of this combined. Not to mention the famous evening breeze, so refreshing and pleasant after the heat of a long day in the sun; what could be better than sitting in the cool air, sipping an aperitif, choosing from the myriad culinary options offered during the evenings, and enjoying entertaining, fascinating, surreal, and astonishing shows by the best Italian and international companies and concerts by extraordinary bands?

August 13, 14, 15 Stage Only On stage at Musik Park

For over twenty seasons, we've been rocking out with fabulous bands, except in 2019 and 2020, but in these two years it's already been miraculous to be there, one of the very few in Italy and Europe. Multi-ethnic bands, fabulous rhythms, almost every genre present. Music on the beat and off the beat, musicians will alternate "On Stage" on the Main Stage of Musik Park Loc. 14 and on that of Baraonda On Stage Loc. 2, Parco Fluviale Ponente, near the Sala Milleluci, but also... from street to street, without amplification or with minimal amplification. At "Di Strada ... in Strada" anyone can play, anywhere. This is also the fun, for those who perhaps for the first time try their hand at acoustic "Unplugged", as the good ones say, in the street instead of "On Stage" ... playing in the street is not at all easy and the more acoustic you do it, the more complicated it gets!!! The shows return inside the Musik Park from 7:30 to 9:30 pm and not only musical. Then up at the Alto Parco the great shows of the Circo Teatro will start. Also on the bill, in addition to the musical companies and/or groups: Face Painting, Professional Braids, Art Balloons, Caricature Artists, Card/Fortune Tellers, Astrologers, Coffee Grounds Reading & Magic Circle etc. etc.

Useful Info

The new INFO POINT will be open in Piazza Centrale G. Matteotti, next to the Bar Moderno entrance to Musik Park, in the new house purchased in 2025 by Proloco, which likes to offer increasingly attentive and punctual services to our loyal public.

Detailed and accurate information, event catalogs, T-shirts, and updated festival merchandise, including a beautiful new "Amico" glass with a matching neck strap in the three classic colors of green, blue, and orange, with a surprise new color for the glass. Pins, T-shirts, and water bottles are also available, all designed by the street.
Shows at the Teatro Mentore are free and included in the festival admission price, but reservations are required; given the limited seating, so hurry. This year, a top-notch lineup is available for all three evenings, with a single show from 10:45 PM to 10:45 PM. Tickets can be picked up at the box office opening hours, at the main box office in Piazza G. Matteotti under the bell tower, at the INFO POINT, or at the theater box office before the show. Starting at 5:00 PM each day of the 13th, 14th, and 15th... Seated seating only, subject to availability; no standing room.
As already explained during the presentation, "La Milleluci" is architecturally finished, but a complete and total interior restyling is pending. This includes the crucial soundproofing of the walls (the sound is currently unbearable), the construction of a new lounge area, bar, and seating, the installation of a stage and a permanent audio and lighting system, as well as additional installations for internal and external security, which the Pro Loco di Santa Sofia will undertake, hopefully starting in September. We also rely on the support of all citizens, in ways that will be communicated during the festival presentation. It will still be open and will host photography exhibitions, painting shows, and interesting workshops, both inside and in the immediate vicinity. Further surprises are not ruled out.
Admission: €15 per evening for August 13, 14, and 15 - Free for children under 13 - Season ticket for the three evenings of August 13, 14, and 15: €30 - Season ticket for Santasofiesi: €25.
Participants are required to respect the mandatory leash and muzzle for dogs. They are not permitted to enter without one.
Shuttle service to the festival is available from the Forlì and Bagno di Romagna areas. We will provide more detailed information later.
A shuttle service has also been established from the Corniolo and Ridracoli campsites, as well as from the new camper area in Corniolo, in addition to the existing shuttle service at the campsite. Work in progress.
